I am sure that there is no point to explain why Nested Folders are essential to any iDevice, but just in case, let me only give you the ultimate reason. HAVE A CLEAN HOME-SCREEN!
Nested Folders on iOS 7.1 version – Is it still possible?
iOS 7.1 version may have brought many updates and improvements, but it also bring “bad” news. No more jailbreak and it seems that the Nested Folders on iOS 7.1 version are not working!
Do not get disappointed, because you are still able to create Nested Folders on iOS 7.1 version, but it will require a little more work from your end. I am using nested folders to my iPhone 5, because I have too many applications that I have installed, which makes my Home Screen almost impossible to browse around.
I am usually creating a few folders, like Games, Apps, Social Media, Work Apps, and now I can locate much easier the application/game that I want to run.
How to create Nested Folders on iOS 7.1 version?
You can consider it as a “hack“, but without any jailbreak taking place. This is not as easy and quick as it was with iOS 7.0.x versions, but it will do its job!
Step 1: Find two applications that you want to place into the same folder. Also, find a folder that you want to nest inside the other folder.
Step 2: Slide one of the applications over the other and when the folder animations pops up, grab the folder you want to nest and slide it inside that folder.
Step 3: You can do the same procedure with a different folder, and nest one more.
There is a youtube video that shows exactly how the whole procedure is being done, and it is extremely easy!
